We custom build furniture to a Client's specifications.

The value of an antique dining room ensemble, for example, increases dramatically with the addition of more chairs and/or arm chairs or other matching side pieces.  Our Clients commission us to hand craft such items.

We are also commissioned to build other matching pieces such as tables, desks, night stands or to hand craft a piece from a Client’s picture.

The table below on the left is a copy of a table our Client already owned.   He and his wife wanted a matching copy to reside on the opposite side of the double doors of their library.

The King George I knee hole desk is a copy of an original piece that was for sale at a London Antique dealer for 200,000 pounds sterling (at today's dollar conversion rate that equals approximately $320,000.)  Our Client thought that price was excessive.  We made an exact copy for a fraction of that price

One of the "Bibles" of antique furniture is the book

“The New Fine Points of Early American Furniture ……….
Good, Better, Best”

by Albert Sack

Considered  the definitive reference source by knowledgeable antique furniture lovers,  Albert Sack’s premise set forth in his books “is that the standards used in judging American furniture are directly relating to the design, proportion, finish, construction, and craftsmanship of a piece.”

This work contains more than 650 photographs illustrating more than 200 furniture types.
